• About Us

    Namma Kannada Kalike Kaaryakrama (N3K) is an accredited K-12 Supplementary Education Program approved by LUSD (Mountain House High School) for high school credits in Kannada.

    Established five years ago, the program has grown into a 2025 ACS WASC-accredited institution (WASC code: 39 48961 999) with a mission to expand Kannada language education across San Joaquin County and beyond.

    Currently, we offer 75-minute Saturday classes for grades 1 through 6, supported by a dedicated team of senior and, substitutes teachers, and management leads under a structured leadership framework. Our program takes pride in its custom-developed high school curriculum and textbooks, created by Kannada language experts to ensure academic excellence and cultural relevance.

    The program operates under the aegis of San Joaquin Kannada Sangha (SJKS), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (EIN # 84-2615041) that brings together more than 300 Kannada-speaking families residing in San Joaquin County.

    Kannada (ಕನ್ನಡ), also known as Kanarese, is spoken predominantly in Karnataka, India, by an estimated 56.9 million speakers (2011 census). Kannada’s rich literary and cultural heritage spans over 1,500 years. Recognized as a Classical Language of India in 2011, Kannada has an unbroken literary history, and works in Kannada have received India’s highest literary awards.
