Teachers

At Namma Kannada Kalike Kaaryakrama all of the teachers without exception are native Kannada speakers, born and schooled in Karnataka state before immigrating to the United States. Many of our teachers have their own children in the program, enhancing their dedication to maintaining and improving the quality of our education for the benefit of all students.

Our teachers under the guidance of program policies delivers class content to students and supports other program activities as needed.

  • Our teachers use the curriculum structure to create learning experiences to motivate students and optimize instructional time.
  • We establish and maintain standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom
  • Apart from assessing students on an ongoing basis through end of unit assessments, we assess students' academic and social development three times during an academic year, maintain records, prepare progress reports, and communicate with parents about individual student progress
  • Identify student needs and cooperate with other team members in assessing and helping students solve attitude and learning problems
  • Perform basic attendance accounting as required and include weightage for attendance in grade reports.
  • Teachers participate in curriculum and other developmental programs as assigned
  • Teachers plan and coordinate the tasks of teacher assistants
