• Inclusive Learning Environment: We provide a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere where every student feels valued and supported in their journey to learn Kannada. We emphasize mutual respect, diversity, and collaboration among students, teachers, and the community.
• Cultural Pride and Preservation: We encourage a deep respect for and connection to Karnataka state’s rich cultural heritage. We integrate cultural activities, traditions, and values into the curriculum to instill pride in students about their linguistic and cultural roots.
• Academic Excellence: We promote a culture of academic rigor and excellence where students are encouraged to achieve their highest potential in listening, reading, writing, and speaking Kannada. We recognize and celebrate their achievements to motivate continuous improvement.
• Lifelong Learning: We encourage cultivating a lifelong love for learning by fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a growth mindset. We encourage students to see language learning as a continuous journey that extends beyond the classroom and practice speaking at home. To do that, we help parents by conducting virtual workshops through guest speakers.
• Global Perspective: While rooted in local culture, we promote a global perspective by highlighting the relevance and utility of Kannada in broader contexts (The illustrations and stories we use as subject matter in the textbook are contextualized and evidence the above fact) and encourage students to see the value of multilingualism and the importance of cultural exchange.

• Ethical Values: Promote integrity, responsibility, and ethical behavior ( through use of several moral based stories). Encourage students to apply these values in their personal, academic, and professional lives. We teach the numbers 1-20 by listing 20 great habits.
• Continuous Improvement: Commit to ongoing evaluation and improvement of the program. Solicit feedback from students, parents, and educators to continuously refine and enhance the learning experience. We are in the 4th edition of the first grade book.
